Themed round: riverside cities and towns

The fourth round of the November quiz was themed: each question consisted of nothing more than the names of three cities/towns/populated places, and for a point, teams had to name the river on which those places sit. In each case, the first named place is the closest to the source, and the last named is closest to the mouth – but the places named aren’t necessarily the most famous settlements on that particular river! Quiz Results November 2016

The November edition of the BA Pub Quiz was lead from the start by Cat’s Whiskers, who put in a sterling performance to take home the winners’ medals, but saw a ding-dong battle for second place in which three teams vied for second place before Down & Out In Buenos Aires eventually took that coveted second fizzy wine spot. (Apologies for not uploading these results last week: for once, it wasn’t me being lazy – I woke up on Tuesday to find myself completely snowed under with work which left me no time for anything else for the rest of the week!) The October 2016 edition of the Buenos Aires Pub Quiz saw another bumper attendance at La Cigale, with interest throughout from the top of the table to the bottom, thanks to a little friendly internal competition.
